Morristown-Beard girls earn top seed in state tournament

The NJSIAA girls state tournament seeds and bracket were released on Tuesday, and defending champion Morristown-Beard earned the top seed.

In total, three other teams from Morris County are in the tournament, which also includes ninth-seeded Chatham, 12th-seeded Madison, and 10th-seeded Randolph.

The tournament is set to get underway next week, with first round games scheduled to be played by Feb. 23, followed by the quarterfinals by Feb. 27. The semifinals are to be played by March 2, followed by the state final on March 6 at Prudential Center.
