THREE STARS OF THE WEEK
Julian Tramontano, Gill St. Bernards, F, Jr.
Tramontano had a huge week for Gill St. Bernard’s as it won three games in a row. He had four goals and two assists in a 6-5 win over Vernon Monday, before scoring two goals in another win over Vernon on Thursday and adding two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Roxbury on Saturday.
Baylyn Shankman, Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex, G, Jr.
The junior netminder had a big week for BSM as it clinched the Haas Division title with wins over Roxbury, West Morris, and Park Regional. She faced over 30 shots in all three games and posted a .926 save percentage over the course of the week. Specifically, she stopped 28 of 31 shots in a 5-3 win over West Morris on Thursday to officially clinch the Haas Division title.
Christian Hertzig, Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown, F, Sr.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first period to Mendham on Monday, Hertzig helped will Mo-Ho-Ha to a comeback 4-2 win. He scored three goals, including two in the third period to break a 2-2 tie in the win for Mo-Ho-Ha. The win earned a tie for second place in the Halvorsen, and Mo-Ho-Ha earned the second seed for the Halvorsen Cup via the penalty minute tiebreaker.
