Each week of the 2021-22 season, The Morris-Sussex Hockey Report will honor its Three Stars of the Week. We will also have our rankings of the Top 5 teams in the area. You can find out who made the cut this week below.

THREE STARS OF THE WEEK (Jan. 16-22)
Players cannot make this list two weeks in a row

Cullen Fagan, Mountain Lakes-Boonton, G, Sr.
Fagan put together perhaps his best performance of the season, as he stopped 31 of 32 shots to help his team upset Mendham, 2-1 on Thursday. It helped his team snap a four-game losing streak and put his team in third place in the Halvorsen Division.

Jimmy Hathaway, Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex, F, So.
Hathaway put together a huge week as his team went 2-1 in three games. He had a hat trick and an assist in the team’s 7-4 loss to Ridgewood. Then, he had two goals in a 5-3 win over Newton-Lenape Valley, before capping off the week with a hat trick and two assists in a 9-2 win over Vernon. In total, he had eight goals and three assists this week for a total of 11 points.

Lilli Warnock, Morristown-Beard girls, F, Jr.
Warnock had a big game for her team in the team’s 5-3 win over a strong Trinity Hall squad. She had a natural hat trick in the first and second periods to help her team erase an early two-goal deficit to take the lead.
