Of the 23 teams that play in the Morris-Sussex area, there will be at least 15 of them playing in the state tournament, with the potential for a few more who have at-large cases. In order to automatically qualify for the state tournament, a team must finish with a .500 or better record prior to the Feb. 10 cutoff. In addition, all Gordon Conference teams automatically qualify, so both Delbarton and Pope John will be in as well.
In order to be eligible for an at-large bid, a team must finish within 4 games of .500. The NJSIAA seeding committee will consider a maximum of three at-large teams for each of the three public brackets, and two for the Non-Public bracket.
The tournament will be seeded on Tuesday, Feb. 18 with the tournament slated to kick off on Monday, Feb. 24.
