Jan. 15 recap: Sordillo’s 4 goals lift Chatham, Scheine gets 100th point for Montville

Morris Knolls-Hills 6, Morristown 2

Jake Diloreto had two goals and an assist and Andrew Ryan added two goals to lift Morris Knolls-Hills to a 6-2 win over Morristown at Mennen Arena.

The win marked Morris Knolls-Hills’ (8-3-2) second win of the year over Morristown, after a 3-0 triumph back in December.

Dylan Idland had a goal and an assist for Knolls-Hills. James Betz also scored, while Elliot Marken made 11 saves.

Harry Santen and Jack McKenna each scored for Morristown (7-7-2).

Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown 6, High Point-Wallkill Valley 1

Liam Murphy scored twice to lift Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown to a 6-1 win over High Point-Wallkill Valley.

Evan Parr, Thomas Cioce, and Sean Pederson each had a goal and an assist for Mount Olive (10-4-1), which held a 69-11 shot advantage in the game. Ethan Tillery and Braden Ensinger each had two assists in the win.

Brandon Mudrick scored the lone High Point-Wallkill Valley (2-8-1) goal, while Tai Ruvo made 63 saves.

Randolph 6, Hillsborough 1

Nick Gallo scored twice and had an assist to lift Randolph to a 6-1 win over Hillsborough at Aspen Ice.

Kyle Barbera also scored twice for Randolph (11-2-2). Ben Yurchuk added a goal and two assists, while Gavin Einfeldt made 15 saves.

Montville 3, Vernon 1

Brendan Perretta scored twice and Danny Scheine had a goal and two assists- which included the 100th point of his career- to lead Montville to a 3-1 win over Vernon at the American Dream Ice Rink in East Rutherford.

The win improved Montville to 9-3-2 overall. Vernon, on the other hand, dropped to 6-7.

Chatham 7, Madison 3

Ryan Sordillo scored four times and had an assist to propel Chatham to a 7-3 win over Madison at Mennen Arena.

Danny Mahoney added two goals and an assist, while Gabe Park also scored. The win improved Chatham to 7-3-2 overall, while Madison dropped to 6-8-1.
