The Morris Knolls-Hills hockey team will be hosting a “Military and Law Enforcement Appreciation Night” during Saturday night’s game at Mennen Arena.
All proceeds from the game will benefit the New Jersey State Policeman’s Benevolent Association Survivor and Welfare Fund, as well as Warrior Strong, Inc. The game will see Morris Knolls-Hills take on Mendham in a crossover game with the Halvorsen Division, with puck drop set for 8:15 p.m.
The New Jersey State Policeman’s Benevolent Association Survivor and Welfare Fund, as noted on its website, is a non-profit organization which provides support and benefits to families of PBA members who have been killed in the line of duty, and also helps officers who are experiencing significant personal hardships.
Warrior Strong, Inc., according to its website, is a charity which provides free fitness classes for veterans and their families, and its mission is to “positively inspire veterans to improve physical and mental health with a training facility that builds camaraderie.” It has a location in Morris Plains, as well as Scranton, Pa.
