Morristown 9, Vernon 6
In a wild offensive display by both teams, it was Morristown that came away with the win in a game which saw 15 total goals.
Conor Critchley, Harry Santen, and Jack Keller each recorded two goals and an assist for Morristown (1-1-1), which had a 5-1 lead in the second period, and led, 7-5 going into the third. Nick Romano and Jack McKenna each had a goal and an assist, while Stephen Grimes added a goal and Stefan Brockmann dished out three assists.
Vernon (0-3) was led by T.J. Santaita’s hat trick. Evan Steinbach, Ayden Steinbach, and Dylan Shea each found the back of the net for the Vikings.
Chatham 8, Roxbury 1
Chatham remained unbeaten in its first four games of the year with a dominant win over Roxbury at Mennen Arena.
Doyle Curry led the way with two goals and an assist, while Ryan Sordillo also scored twice for Chatham (2-0-2). Brandon Lupi, Tommy Sennett, and Ronan Curry each chipped in with a goal.
It was Roxbury’s first loss of the season, as it dropped to 2-1-1.
