MADISON WINS THIRD STRAIGHT
Lucas Gero and Sam Gero each recorded three points to lead Madison to a 5-0 win over Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown in a Halvorsen division game at Mennen Arena.
Lucas Gero had one goal and two assists, while Sam had two goals and an assist. Kyle Piechnik dished out two assists, with Jonathan Erickson and Chris Palawasta each finding the back of the net.
Bryan Worthington stopped all 20 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the year.
It marked Madison’s third-straight win after a 1-5 start to bring its overall record to 4-5. It evened up its Halvorsen division record at 2-2 and is now in third place with four points.
Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown is now 1-8-1 with an 0-3-1 Halvorsen record.
