Randolph 6, Morristown 2
Zach Gallo scored four goals, as Randolph scored six-unanswered goals to earn a 6-2 win over Morristown at Mennen Arena.
The win officially clinched the Mennen Division title and top seed for the Mennen Cup for Randolph. It finished with a 6-1-1 divisional record, one point ahead of Chatham (5-1-2).
Randolph fell behind, 2-0 in the first period as Morristown’s Colin McKenna and John Mrotchek each scored. But the comeback began 1:50 into the second period as Gallo scored on the power play, before he added a shorthanded tally later in the period to tie it up. He scored 1:56 into the third to give Randolph the lead for good. Andrew George and Jack Berry then scored 47 seconds apart to give the Rams breathing room.
Connor Thomas made 21 saves for Randolph.
With the loss, Morristown was officially eliminated from Mennen Cup contention.
Montville 4, High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny 2
Four different players scored for Montville as it clinched the Charette Division title with a 4-2 win over High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny at Mennen Arena.
Matt Trifari, Aidan Stepien, Cole Riley, and Aidan Engle each scored for Montville, which earned a division title after winning just two games last season. It improved to 12-3-2 overall, and ran the table in the Charette Division with an 8-0 record. It will be the top seed for the Charette Cup, where it will take on fourth-seeded Morris Catholic-St. Elizabeth on Thursday.
Anthony Tokar scored a goal for High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny (10-7), which finished second in the division with a 6-2 record. It will face third-seeded Newton-Lenape Valley in the other semifinal on Thursday.
Morris Knolls-Hills 8, Morristown-Beard 1
Jake McCloud had a hat trick and an assist to lead Morris Knolls-Hills to a dominant 8-1 win over Morristown-Beard at Mennen Arena.
Luke Dickerson had a goal and four assists for Morris Knolls-Hills, which officially solidified the third seed for the Mennen Cup with this win. It will face second-seed Chatham in the semifinal on Saturday.
Jack Martinez scored twice with an assist, while Michael Simone buried two goals. Aidan Marvin stopped 21 of 22 shots in the win.
Evan Jones scored the lone goal for Morristown-Beard, which will be the fourth seed in the Mennen Cup and will face top-seeded Randolph on Saturday.
Mountain Lakes-Boonton 4, Roxbury 1
Logan Przestrzelski had a hat trick to lead Mountain Lakes-Boonton to its first win of the year, a 4-1 win over Roxbury at Skylands Ice World.
Benji Forman had a goal and three assists for Mountain Lakes-Boonton (1-14). Dom Signorile made 16 saves in the win.
A.J. Mancuso scored Roxbury’s (11-6) only goal.
