Jan. 27 roundup/scoreboard: KJS United clinches Halvorsen Division

Anthony Prunty had a hat trick to lead KJS United to a 4-1 win over Mountain Lakes-Boonton at Skylands Ice World.

The win secured the Halvorsen Division title for KJS United (10-3-1), which is now 7-0 in the division with one more game still to play. It will be the top seed for the Halvorsen Cup.

Adam Stefancik was involved in all four goals, as he assisted on each of them. Logan Winslow also scored, while Rylan Gibbons stopped 15 of 16 shots.

Dom Signorile made 32 saves for Mountain Lakes-Boonton, which dropped to 0-11 with the loss. Logan Przestrzelski scored the lone goal in the loss.

Park Regional 2,Gill St. Bernard’s 1
Stanley Gelman and Matthew McDermott each scored to lead Park Regional to a 2-1 win over Gill St. Bernard’s at Mennen Arena.

Park Regional’s win guaranteed it will finish, at a minimum, in a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Haas Cup. It is currently 3-3-2 in the division and holds a six-point lead on Gill St. Bernard’s (0-5-2, 2 points). It needs just one point in its final two games to officially secure a spot in the Haas Cup.

Dylan Marion made 21 saves for Park Regional, which led, 2-0 through two periods. Porter Clark scored for Gill St. Bernard’s in the third period, but it was unable to finish off the comeback.

Luc Jansson made 17 saves for Gill St. Bernard’s.
