KJS United is a team that has gotten off to a strong start in the Halvorsen Division this season.
It pulled off an impressive 1-0 win on opening night against reigning Halvorsen Cup champion Mendham, and added to its resume with a solid 5-3 win over Madison on Monday night at Mennen Arena.
KJS is now 2-0 in the Halvorsen Division.
Dillon Fleksher, Logan Winslow, and Joey Kopec each collected a goal and an assist for KJS, which improved to 3-1 overall. Goalie Rylan Gibbons made 25 saves.
Sam Gero netted two goals with an assist for Madison, which is looking for its first win of the season (0-4).
In an absolute thriller, West Morris rallied from a two-goal deficit to take down High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny, 4-3, at Mennen Arena.
Jimmy Thompson buried the go-ahead goal with under a minute to go for the Wolfpack, which improved to 2-1-1 with the win.
Anthony Tokar netted a pair of goals for HP-WV-K, which fell to 2-3 with the loss.
Morris Knolls-Hills improved to 2-1 in Mennen Division play with a strong 3-0 win over Morristown at Mennen Arena.
Ryan Manz netted the go-ahead goal in the second period for Morris Knolls-Hills (3-1 overall), as it put 35 shots on Morristown goalie Thatcher Neville, who came up with 32 saves.
Aidan Marvin picked up his second shutout of the year with a 17-save performance for Knolls-Hills.
