Jan. 29 roundup: High Point-Wallkill-Kittatinny, Newton-Lenape Valley, and Montville all win

High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny 5, Parsippany Regional 1
Gordon Shindelman had two goals and an assist to lead High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny to a 5-1 win over Parsippany Regional at Skylands Ice World.

Custode Shane had a goal and an assist for High Point (4-6-2), and Luca Carnemolla added two assists. Anthony Tokar and Alex Sonvico each had a goal in the win. T.J. Ward made 12 saves.

David Zilinskis had the lone goal for Parsippany Regional, which dropped to 1-13 with the loss. The loss eliminated Parsippany from Charette Cup playoff contention (0-7 Charette). On the other hand, High Point moved into a tie for second place with Newton-Lenape Valley with identical 3-1-2 records.

Newton-Lenape Valley 3, Lakeland 1
Eric Nemeth scored twice to help Newton-Lenape Valley earn a 3-1 win over Lakeland at Skylands Ice World.

David Zappe stopped 31 of 32 shots for NLV, which improved to 6-7-5 with the win. Ryan Lynch also scored in the victory.

Montville 4, Morris Catholic-St. Elizabeth 2
Montville picked up its second win of the year on Saturday night with a 4-2 win over Morris Catholic-St. Elizabeth at Skylands Ice World.

Matthew Crowell scored twice with an assist for Montville, which improved to 2-16-1 with the win. Matthew Trifari and Joseph Laino each added a goal, while Alexis Riley stopped 11 of 13 shots to earn the victory.

Declan Norton had a goal and an assist and Evan Lord also netted a goal for Morris Catholic (4-7-3).
