West Morris 4, Montville 3

Montville, in search of its first win of the year, built a 2-0 lead early in the second period on goals from Matthew Trifari and Aidan Engle. Barnhill scored a shorthanded goal 1:04 later to cut the deficit, but Engle added another just 15 seconds later to make it a 3-1 game.

Barnhill scored with 4:08 to go in the second, before Max Michalski and Barnhill scored 1:28 apart late in the third to tie and take the lead, respectively.

Phil Togno made 19 saves for West Morris, which improved to 8-3 with a 3-3 Haas record. Montville, on the other hand, dropped to 0-14-1 with an 0-8 Haas record. It has been snakebitten this season, losing its last two games by one goal each, and in total has lost five games by two or less goals.

Passaic Tech 2, Park Regional 0
Despite an incredible 39-save effort by A.J. Schauder, Park Regional fell to Passaic Tech, 2-0 at the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.

Schauder kept Park in the game for the first two periods despite a heavy shot disadvantage, but Passaic Tech’s Ryan Ross and Brian Gaboda broke through with goals nine seconds apart in the third.

Park Regional was out-shot, 41-11 in the game. It fell to 6-4-2 with the loss.
