Randolph 4, Summit 4
Jase Zangara tallied two goals and two assists, as Randolph erased a four-goal deficit in the third period with four-straight goals to earn a 4-4 tie with Summit at Warinanco Skating Center.
After surrendering one goal in the first and three in the second, Randolph scored three times in a span of 1:47 early in the third to cut the deficit to one. Jase Zangara had two goals and Zach Gallo also had a goal in that span. Then, Nicholas Gaynor scored on the power play with 4:32 left to tie the game.
Zach Gallo finished with a goal and two assists for Randolph, which is now 3-4-3. Connor Thomas made 19 saves.
Delbarton 3, Bergen Catholic 0
Jason Cai turned aside all 21 shots he faced to secure his sixth total shutout of the season in Delbarton’s 3-0 win over Bergen Catholic at SportsCare Arena in Randolph.
Trip Pendy netted two goals for Delbarton, which won its sixth game in a row to improve to 11-1-1. James Royse also scored on the power play in the win.
Delbarton will take on the No. 1 team in the state in Christian Brothers tomorrow at 4:45 p.m. at Jersey Shore Arena.
Girls: Morristown-Beard 13, Chatham 0
Lilli Warnock and Brooklyn Chen each recorded six points in Morristown-Beard’s 13-0 win over Chatham at Twin Oaks Ice Rink in Morristown.
Warnock had three goals and three assists, while Chen had a goal and five assists. Jessica Sperling tallied three goals and two assists and Leah Stecker added two goals and three assists. Kailin Kane, Carly Greer, and Gia Becchi each had a goal and an assist. Katie Ewig had two assists. Logan Sutera also had a goal.
Morristown-Beard improved to 5-0 with the win. Gracie Meyers stopped all 11 shots for the shutout.
