Christian Hertzig had a goal and an assist for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown in a 4-2 win over Passaic Tech in the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.
Nicholas Cioce, Ryan Twist, and Ethan Tillery each had a goal for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown, which improved to 9-2 with the win. Nick Gargiulo made 20 saves in the win.
Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex 9, Montville 4
Tanner Clemson had two goals and three assists for Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex in a 9-4 win over Montville at Bridgewater Sports Arena.
Aidan Gallagher had a hat trick and an assist for Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex (5-0-1). Taylor Favreau added two goals and an assist, while Aidan Brown and Dylan Leonard each had a goal.
Matthew Crowell scored twice, while Aidan Engle and Trey Baresich each had a goal and two assists for Montville, which dropped to 0-10.
Kinnelon-Jefferson-Sparta 4, Fair Lawn 4
Anthony Prunty scored twice for KJS United in a 4-4 tie with Fair Lawn in the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.
Dillon Fleksher dished out two assists for KJS United (0-4-2). Anthony Pandiscia had a goal and an assist, while Joey Kopec also scored. Ryan Gibbons made 15 saves.
Seton Hall Prep 7, Morris Knolls-Hills 1
Dylan Gibbs had a hat trick and an assist to lead Seton Hall Prep to a 7-1 win over Morris Knolls-Hills in the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.
Ryan Murcer scored the lone goal for Morris Knolls-Hills, which dropped to 7-3-1 and went 0-3 in the tournament.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 30
Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown 3, Ramsey 0
J.L. O’Toole netted two goals to lead Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown to a 3-0 win over Ramsey at the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.
Nicholas Cioce also had a goal for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown, which improved to 8-2. Nick Gargiulo made 25 saves to earn the shutout.
Pope John 3, Ridge 3
Jake Stevens scored the game-tying goal with 2:24 left to help Pope John come from behind to earn a 3-3 tie with Ridge in the Protec Ponds Holiday Tournament.
Ridge led, 3-1 after a goal early in the third period. But Owen Lapinski cut it to 3-2 with a power play goal at the 9:39 mark, before Stevens tied it up late. Luke Jarosiewicz also had a goal.
Tyler Paluzzi made 36 saves for Pope John, which is now 3-2-5.
Livingston 5, Morris Knolls-Hills 0
Morris Knolls-Hills fell, 5-0 to Livingston at the Ice Vault Holiday Classic.
Knolls-Hills was out-shot 38-14 and dropped to 7-2-1 with the loss, its second-straight shutout in the Ice Vault Classic.
Girls: Trinity Hall 12, Chatham 2
Kate Romano netted two goals, but Chatham fell 12-2 to Trinity Hall at Mennen Arena.
Chatham dropped to 0-3 with the loss.
