Jason Cirillo scored the game-tying goal in the third period to help Park Regional secure a 2-2 tie with Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown at Mennen Arena.
Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown (3-3-1) built a 2-1 lead in the second period on goals from Frank Diloreto and Evan Parr. Angelo DePinto scored for Park Regional (1-5-2) in that second period.
A.J. Schauder made 27 saves for Park Regional. Dante Duteau made 18 saves for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown.
BERGEN CATHOLIC 6, MORRIS KNOLLS-HILLS 1
Mick Thompson had a hat trick and two assists to lift Bergen Catholic to a 6-1 win over Morris Knolls-Hills at Mennen Arena.
Bergen Catholic, ranked No. 3 in the state by NJ.com, built a 3-0 lead through two periods behind two Thompson goals and another from Antonio Arcaroli. Jeffrey Quinn cut the Knolls-Hills deficit to 3-1 early in the third, but Shane Carr, Thompson, and Arcaroli scored to put the game out of reach.
Bergen Catholic (5-1) out-shot Morris Knolls-Hills, 34-22. Ryan Henry made 21 saves for Bergen Catholic, while Aidan Marvin turned aside 28 shots for Morris Knolls-Hills (2-2-1).
SETON HALL PREP 5, DELBARTON 1
Just two days after taking down the state’s No. 1-ranked team in Christian Brothers, Delbarton dropped a 5-1 decision to Seton Hall Prep at Codey Arena.
Dale Campbell scored twice for Seton Hall Prep, ranked No. 7 in the state by NJ.com. Brendan Waivada had a goal and an assist, while Thomas Klochkov and Kent Bishop each found the back of the net for the Pirates (2-0-3), which built a 5-0 advantage in the third period.
Trip Pendy scored the lone goal for Delbarton (1-1). Jake Schunke made 25 saves for Seton Hall Prep. It marked Seton Hall Prep’s first victory over Delbarton since the 2006 season.
