What you should know: Morristown-Beard did not play this past week due to a COVID-19 related shutdown.
3-Morris Knolls-Hills (2-1-1)
What you should know: After a long layoff, Morris Knolls-Hills returned to the ice this week with two games against rival Randolph- a 5-5 tie on Wednesday, and then a 4-1 triumph on Friday. The win over Randolph propels Knolls-Hills to the three spot, up from the fifth spot.
What you should know: Randolph’s season got into full swing this week after opening its season last Saturday with a win over Chatham. It tied Morris Knolls-Hills on Wednesday before losing to that same squad on Friday, but picked up the season sweep of Chatham with a 5-2 victory on Saturday night.
What you should know: Chatham’s only action this week was a 5-2 loss to Randolph on Saturday night. While it holds a head-to-head win over No. 3 Morris Knolls-Hills, it drops to the No. 5 spot after back-to-back losses to Randolph.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andrew Ryan, Morris Knolls-Hills, Sr. Forward
The senior had a big performance in Wednesday’s tie with Randolph, as he was involved in all five of his team’s goals- he scored twice and had three assists in the 5-5 tie, before adding a goal in the team’s 4-1 victory over the same team on Friday. In total, he amassed three goals and three assists in two games this week.
