VERNON 4, PARK REGIONAL 3
Devan England scored the game-winning goal with 1:06 left in regulation and Dylan Shea had a hat trick as Vernon picked up a dramatic 4-3 win over Park Regional at Mennen Arena.
With the game knotted up at two late in the third period, Whippany Park’s Eddie Karpinski scored on a 5-on-3 to give his team the lead with 1:53 to go. But just 18 seconds later, Shea tied the game with a shorthanded goal, before England put his team ahead.
Angelo DePinto and Mike Monahan each scored for Park Regional (1-4-1), while A.J. Schauder made 35 saves.
Ozzie Deluca made 24 saves for Vernon (3-1-1).
MOUNTAIN LAKES-BOONTON 7, GILL ST. BERNARD’S 0
Caz Kotsen and Cameron Egan each scored twice to lift Mountain Lakes-Boonton to a 7-0 win over Gill St. Bernard’s at Mennen Arena.
It was Mountain Lakes-Boonton’s second win over Gill St. Bernard’s in as many nights, and was the team’s sixth-straight win.
Tyler Shaloub, Aiden Reidy, and John Lane each scored for Mountain Lakes-Boonton (6-1).
Cullen Fagan stopped all nine shots to earn the shutout. Mountain Lakes-Boonton out-shot Gill St. Bernard’s, 47-9 in the contest.
BERNARDS-SOMERVILLE-MIDDLESEX 7, NEWTON-LENAPE VALLEY 2
Ryan Leonard scored twice and had an assist, while Paul Wendling added a goal and two assists to lift Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex to a 7-2 win over Newton-Lenape Valley at Mennen Arena.
Jimmy Hathaway scored twice for Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex (2-1), which picked up its second win over Newton-Lenape Valley in less than a week. Stephen Parisi and Dylan Leonard each scored, while Maggie Smith made 26 saves to earn the win.
Ryan Lynch scored twice for Newton-Lenape Valley (1-4).
Girls: MORRISTOWN-BEARD 10, WESTFIELD 0
Leah Stecker and Jessica Sperling each had a hat trick to lift Morristown-Beard to a 10-0 win over Westfield at Twin Oaks Ice Rink.
Lilli Warnock scored twice, while Alexa Degan had three assists for Morristown-Beard (2-0). Annabel Plante and Logan Sutera each scored a goal. Brooklyn Chen and Keira Redmond each dished out two assists.
Gracie Meyers stopped all three shots to earn the shutout.
