Feb. 3 recap: Reidy lifts Mountain Lakes-Boonton, Roxbury suffers 1st loss

MOUNTAIN LAKES-BOONTON 5, GILL ST. BERNARD’S 1

Aiden Reidy had a hat trick to lift Mountain Lakes-Boonton to a 5-1 win over Gill St. Bernard’s at Mennen Arena.

It marked the fifth straight win of the season for Mountain Lakes-Boonton, and also gave the team a win in its first rematch of last year’s Haas Cup final.

Andy Barrasso and John Lane each scored for Mountain Lakes-Boonton, which improved its record to 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the Haas Division.

The teams will meet again tomorrow night at 8:15 p.m. at Mennen Arena.

WEST ESSEX-CALDWELL 4, ROXBURY 1

Nick Thomas put Roxbury ahead early, but it did not hold up as it surrendered four unanswered in a 4-1 loss to West Essex-Caldwell at Mennen Arena.

Luca Infusino scored twice for West Essex-Caldwell (3-3). Alex Laglia had a goal and an assist and Joe Namyotov also scored, while Zach Jewett made 16 saves.

Ryan Callahan turned aside 26 shots for Roxbury (4-1).
