Jan. 29 recap: Morristown ties Northern Highlands, Roxbury remains undefeated

MORRISTOWN 1, NORTHERN HIGHLANDS 1

Dylan Peck stopped 23 shots to help Morristown earn a 1-1 tie with Northern Highlands at Mennen Arena.

Morristown (2-2-1) took a 1-0 lead 5:07 into the game on Jack McKenna’s goal, but Northern Highlands struck late in the period on Will Fuller’s power play goal to tie it up.

ROXBURY 3, KJS UNITED 0

Kyle Jenkins, Joe DiDomenico, and Randy DePalma each found the back of the net for Roxbury in a 3-0 win over KJS United at Mennen Arena.

Ryan Callahan made 17 saves to earn the shutout and extend Roxbury’s undefeated record to 4-0.

Brett Lewis made 26 saves for KJS United (0-4-1).

BERNARDS-SOMERVILLE-MIDDLESEX 7, NEWTON-LENAPE VALLEY 0

Jimmy Hathaway had a hat trick and an assist to lift Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex to a 7-0 win over Newton-Lenape Valley in its season opener at Skylands Ice World.

Aiden Gallagher scored twice and had four assists for Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex (1-0). Chris DeRogatis had three assists, while Stephen Parisi also had a goal in the win. Baylyn Shankman stopped all 24 shots to earn the shutout.

PARK REGIONAL 2, PASSAIC TECH 0

A.J. Schauder recorded a 24-save shutout to lift Park Regional to a 2-0 win over Passaic Tech at the Ice Vault in Wayne.

Park Regional (1-3-1) received goals from Mike Monahan and Russell Morgan in the second and third period, respectively.
