Trip Pendy scored twice to lift Delbarton to a 3-0 win over Chatham in the team’s season-opener at Aspen Ice in Randolph.
Chase Pirtle also scored for the Green Wave, in what is believed to be the first meeting between the two schools since they last played in the Mennen Division together in the 2003-04 season. Ray Berezniak dished out two assists in the win, while Brett Cleaves stopped all 12 shots to earn the shutout.
Michael Park stopped 58 of 61 shots for Chatham (1-1).
MOUNTAIN LAKES-BOONTON 2, PARK REGIONAL 0
Tyler Shaloub and Griffen O’Shaughnessy each scored to propel Mountain Lakes-Boonton to a 2-0 win over Park Regional at Mennen Arena.
O’Shaughnessy set up Shaloub for the game’s opening goal in the first period, before scoring off a feed from Andy Barrasso and Cameron Egan in the second period. Cullen Fagan made seven saves in the shutout for Mountain Lakes-Boonton (2-1).
A.J. Schauder stopped 37 of 39 shots for Park Regional (0-2).
