Morris-Sussex teams seeded in 1st girls hockey state tournament

Four area teams will be participating in the first-ever state tournament for girls ice hockey, which is slated to get underway in the coming week.

Morristown-Beard will be the top seed, while Chatham, Madison, and Randolph have all qualified as well. The first round is slated to be finished by Feb. 25, followed by the quarterfinals on Feb. 28. The semifinals will be on Monday, March 2, and the final will be on Wednesday, March 4 at Codey Arena in West Orange at 8:30 p.m., upon conclusion of the boys semifinal games.

Below are the seeds and first round match-ups for all area teams.

1-Morristown-Beard gets first round bye, will face winner of 8-Immaculate Heart/9-Westfield on Feb. 28

11-Randolph at 6-Summit on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at Warinanco Park

10-Madison vs. 7-Chatham on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at Rock Ice in Dunellen.
