Jake Weiss had a hat trick and an assist to help Parsippany Regional rally from a three-goal deficit to earn a 5-5 tie with Morris Catholic-DePaul at Mennen Arena.
Morris Catholic-DePaul (0-13-1) built a 4-1 lead early in the second period, behind two goals from Nicholas Leyhan as well as Aldino Guadagnino and Jonathan Tinney. But it would be short lived, as David Zilinskis scored shorthanded for Parsippany (3-14-2) just 3:49 into the second, before Weiss struck for two more to tie the game more than halfway into the second.
Guadagnino added his second with 5:28 left in the game to give Morris Catholic the lead again, but Timothy Coppinger tied it up on the power play with 1:07 remaining in the game.
Nicholas Leyhan scored twice and had two assists for Morris Catholic, while Jason Briant made 11 saves. Justin Wellman made 27 saves for Parsippany Regional.
