Morristown-Beard bounced back from its first loss in nearly two months with a dominant 5-0 win over cross-town rival Morristown at Mennen Arena.
Hollis Humphries scored twice and had an assist for Morristown-Beard (14-3-1). Tommy Matthews added a goal and three assists, while Cam Fernandez and Andrew Low each found the back of the net. Paul Detre turned away all 15 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
The win puts Morristown-Beard in first place in the Mennen Division with 14 points (7-2), ahead of Randolph’s 13 (5-1-3). The Crimson can clinch the regular-season title and the top seed in the upcoming Mennen Cup with a win over Chatham on Friday.
Dylan Peck made 31 saves for Morristown (8-8-4).
Randolph 7, Roxbury 2
J.T. Zangara scored four goals to propel Randolph to a 7-2 win over Roxbury at Mennen Arena.
Ben Yurchuk dished out four assists for Randolph (13-2-4). Zach Gallo, Luke Spagnuolo and Matt Rogers each chipped in with a goal and an assist in the win. Nick Floris made seven saves, while Gavin Einfeldt stopped eight in a combined effort.
Kevin Keane and Nick Hefferle each scored for Roxbury (10-7-1).
Morris Knolls-Hills 10, Sparta-Jefferson 0
Andrew Ryan collected two goals and three assists to lift Morris Knolls-Hills to its second-straight win, a 10-0 victory over Sparta-Jefferson at Mennen Arena.
Jason Kwestel had a goal and three assists for Knolls-Hills (10-5-3). Timmy Kepler and Kyle Thornton each chipped in with a goal and two assists, while Dylan Idland scored twice. Aidan Marvin made seven saves to secure the shutout.
