Park Regional became the first team to beat Mountain Lakes-Boonton this season, as it scored once in the second and again in the third to claim a 2-1 win at Mennen Arena.
Both contests between these squads have been nail-biters, with the previous result being a 4-4 tie back on Jan. 11, which included a late goal with the extra attacker to tie the game.
Park Regional improved to 13-1-4, with a 9-1-3 divisional record in the Haas-Charette. Mountain Lakes-Boonton, on the other hand, now stands at 11-1-3 overall, with a 10-1-3 divisional record. Mountain Lakes-Boonton remains in first place with 23 points with two divisional games remaining, but Park Regional is just two points behind with an extra game in hand. Mount Olive is in third place with 20 points and three games left, while Gill St. Bernard’s is fourth with 19 points and three games remaining.
Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown 9, Parsippany Regional 2
Nicholas Cioce tallied three goals and two assists, while Thomas Cioce added a goal and four assists to lead the Mount Olive tri-op to a 9-2 win over Parsippany Regional at Mennen Arena.
Evan Parr and Jason Bonante each added a goal and two assists for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown (12-5-2). J.L. O’Toole, Liam Murphy, and Ethan Tillery each dished out two assists in the win.
GIRLS: Morristown-Beard 8, Randolph 0
Eight different players found the back of the net for Morristown-Beard in its 8-0 senior night victory over Randolph at Twin Oaks Ice Arena.
Logan Sutera and Frankie Becchi each recorded a goal and two assists for Morristown-Beard (12-3-1). Alexa Degan dished out three assists, while Louisa Randazzo, Lily Wieder, Lilli Warnock, Anna Bajak, Kat Humphrey, and Sam Grant each found the back of the net. Kaitlin Skorzewski and Faith Facchini each chipped in with two assists in the win.
