Newton-Lenape Valley 4, Parsippany Regional 3
Matthew Murphy’s go-ahead goal with 1:06 left was the difference as Newton-Lenape Valley improved to 3-1 on the season with a 4-3 win over Parsippany at Skylands Ice World.
Ryan Lynch scored twice for Newton-LV, while Anthony Piccirillo also scored in the win. David Zilinskis struck twice for Parsippany, and Timothy Coppinger added a goal.
Trey Kaplan made 13 saves for Newton-Lenape Valley, while Parsippany’s Justin Wellman made 58 saves.
Madison 3, Sparta-Jefferson 0
Alvin Rhee, Cormac McNamara, and Tyler Shannon each recorded goals to give Madison its first win of the year, a 3-0 triumph over Sparta-Jefferson at Skylands Ice World.
Aidan Niceberg had two assists, while McNamara also had an assist. Madison out-shot Sparta-Jefferson, 59-17. Keaton Tom stopped all 17 shots he faced to secure the shutout, while Sparta-Jefferson’s Logan Hanek made 56 saves.
Montville 4, Millburn 1
Connor Perez scored twice to push Montville to a big 4-1 win over Millburn at Codey Arena in West Orange.
Aiden Engle and Danny Scheine each scored for Montville, which now holds a 2-0-1 record through three games.
Randolph 7, Mendham 1
Randolph scored five times in the first period en route to a dominant win over Mendham in a crossover game between the Mennen and Halvorsen Divisions.
J.T. Zangara had two goals and an assist and Ben Yurchuk added a goal and two assists. Ray McNamara had three assists, while Chris Civetta, Zach Gallo, James Mattson, and Evan Xhumba each scored.
Gavin Einfeldt stopped 18 of 19 shots for Randolph (2-0). Tristan Aikenhead scored the lone goal for Mendham (0-1-1).
Mountain Lakes-Boonton 3, High Point-Wallkill Valley 1
Caz Kotsen had a goal and an assist to help Mountain Lakes reach a perfect 3-0 mark with a 3-1 win over High Point-Wallkill Valley at Skylands Ice World.
Aidan Reidy and John Lane each scored for Mountain Lakes. Luca Carnemolla scored for High Point-Wallkill Valley.
Ben Polizzi stopped 10 of 11 shots for Mountain Lakes, while Tai Ruvo made 48 saves for High Point.
