Morris/Sussex 3 Stars of the Week and Top 10 rankings, Jan. 5

By Mike Gurnis

Here are my picks for this week’s Morris/Sussex area Three Stars of the Week, as well as the Top 10 team rankings.

Braydon Sisco, KJS United, F, Jr.
Sisco had a big week this week for KJS, scoring two goals and two assists in a 6-3 win over Ramapo. Then, he had his biggest game of the year, tallying four goals and two assists as the team rolled past Ramsey-Indian Hills, 11-1.

Mark Dybas, West Morris, G, Fr.
Dybas turned in perhaps the most jaw-dropping goaltending performance of the season thus far. He stopped 60 of 62 shots to help West Morris stay unbeaten in the Halvorsen Division in a 5-2 win over Park Regional. The freshman has posted a sparkling .938 save percentage in five starts this year.

Cam Guerra, Pope John, F, Sr.
Guerra scored the game-winning overtime goal for his team in a big 4-3 win over Shore Catholic on Friday. Guerra now has four goals and two assists for the Lions this season.
