Mennen Cup semifinals: Chatham stuns Randolph in OT, Morristown-Beard advances
The biggest upset to date in any of the Cup tournaments took place on Wednesday, when fourth-seeded Chatham upended top-seeded Randolph in the Mennen Cup semifinals at Mennen Arena.

Isaac Suh scored the game-winning goal 54 seconds into overtime to secure Chatham’s third-straight Mennen Cup final appearance. It was all thanks in large part to the play of goaltender Snowden Lange, who stopped 41 shots for the Cougars.

The game was scoreless until Charlie Dunn scored with 3:28 left in the second period to put Chatham ahead, 1-0. That score held all the way until the final minute of play. Chatham and Lange were just 32 seconds away from a shutout win, when Shane Melly scored to tie the game and ultimately force overtime.

Randolph out-shot Chatham, 42-19 in the game. Chatham improved to 11-10 on the year, while Randolph fell to 15-5. The Cougars will go for their second Mennen Cup title in three seasons on Monday at 8:30 p.m.

In that final, Chatham will take on second-seeded Morristown-Beard, which took down third-seeded KJS United, 3-0 in the other semifinal.

Nick Squashic had a goal and an assist for the Crimson (15-2-1), which won its sixth-straight game. Charlie Fernandez also scored, while Marcus Cassidy sealed it with an empty-netter late in the game. Mason Hriczov stopped all 13 shots he faced to earn his fourth shutout of the year.

Morristown-Beard out-shot KJS United, 42-13 for the game.

KJS United fell to 10-7-1 with the loss.
