Jan. 24 recap: Olszewski leads Park Regional to 7th straight win

Olszewski powers Park Regional in comeback win over West Morris
Chase Olszewski had four goals to lift Park Regional to a 6-4 comeback win over West Morris in Halvorsen Division play at Mennen Arena.

With his team trailing 3-1 in the second period, he scored two goals in four seconds to help Park tie the game late in the period. After West Morris retook the lead, Colin Mullooly, Matt McDermott, and Olszewski each scored in the third period to give Park its seventh-straight win.

McDermott had a goal and two assists and Nick Monaco had two assists for Park Regional (10-4-2, 8-2-1). Colin Mullooly also scored, while Dylan Marion made 24 saves.

Ben Barnhill scored twice with an assist for West Morris (9-7-1, 7-4-0). Park will now face Mendham on Thursday, while West Morris will face Gill St. Bernard’s on Monday.

Morristown-Beard holds off KJS United
Thanks to two second period goals from Trenton Fei and Evan Redman, Morristown-Beard knocked off KJS United, 2-1, in Mennen Division play at Skylands Ice World.

The goals came 49 seconds apart early in the second period, and it helped clinch a first round Mennen Cup bye for Morristown-Beard, who can now finish no worse than second in the division (11-2-1, 8-1-1). Mason Hriczov made 19 saves in the win.

Braydon Sisco scored a first period goal for KJS (8-5-1, 5-4-1). Andrew Corrado made 30 saves in the loss.

Morristown-Beard will take on Chatham on Monday, while KJS will see Randolph on Sunday night.

Balanced effort keys Delbarton in win
Dante Rodriguez, Egor Andreev, and Aidan Pasic each had a goal and two assists to send Delbarton to a 5-1 win over Bergen Catholic at the Ice House in Hackensack.

Jack Gerne and Ayden Puppe also scored for the Green Wave, who are now 11-1-1 this season. Cooper Ranawat made 22 saves in the win.

It will travel to face Christian Brothers on Wednesday in its next game.

Morristown skates to out-of-conference tie
Willem Kerr and Conrad Caroee-Henningsen each had a goal and an assist for Morristown as it skated to a 3-3 tie with Montclair Kimberley at Clary Anderson Arena.

Jake Buonocore also scored for Morristown, which is now 3-10-2. Artie Conover made 15 saves.

It will take on Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex today. A win for the Colonials would clinch a spot in the Mennen Cup.

Donoghue’s 5 goals leads Chatham-Millburn girls to win
Alex Donoghue scored five times to propel the Chatham-Millburn girls to a 7-2 win over Rockland (N.Y.) at Union Sports Arena.

Simone Claps had two goals and two assists for Chatham-Millburn, which improved to 5-6-1 on the year. Maggie Breed had two assists and Megan Cincotta made 27 saves in the win.

Chatham-Millburn will face Pingry on Tuesday.
