McCloud leads Morris Knolls-Hills past Ridge
Jake McCloud had a hat trick to lead Morris Knolls-Hills to a 5-3 win over Ridge, who was ranked No. 19 in the Big State Sports Power Rankings, at Mennen Arena.

McCloud struck for a pair of goals in the first period, before Dylan Williams scored in the second period to give Morris Knolls-Hills (5-9) a commanding 3-0 lead. But Ridge’s Ryan Ward and Ryan McNally each scored early in the third to cut the lead to 3-2, before Wes Vnenchak restored the two-goal lead with 1:23 remaining.

Williams finished with a goal and two assists, while Brandon Strunck and Marek Kazik each had two assists for Morris Knolls-Hills. Nick Trento made 30 saves.

Morris Knolls-Hills will battle Chatham on Monday.

Park Regional downs Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown for 5th-straight win
Michael Capozzi, Matthew McDermott, and Colin Mulooly each recorded a goal and an assist as Park Regional took down Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown in Halvorsen Division play at Mennen Arena.

Chase Olszewski dished out two assists for Park Regional (8-4-2). which now leads the Mount Olive tri-op by three points for third place in the Halvorsen Division and now is on a five-game winning streak. Dylan Marion made 24 saves. It will face Montville on Tuesday.

Dominic Landolfi and Ryan Walsh each scored for Mount Olive, which fell to 6-7-2. Talon Muscolino made 45 saves in the loss. It will next face West Orange on Monday.

Roxbury remains unbeaten in Haas/Charette Division
Michael Nelson had a hat trick and an assist to lead Roxbury to a 6-1 win over High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny in Haas/Charette Division play at Skylands Ice World.

Chase Alven scored twice with an assist for Roxbury, which is now a perfect 8-0 in divisional play and 10-3 overall. Ryan Van Zile had three assists and Griffin Warsaw also scored in the win. Mikey Guadagnino made 38 saves.

Noah Custode scored for High Point’s tri-op (6-7, 5-3 Haas/Charette). Landon Healy made 19 saves.

Roxbury will face Wayne on Monday, while High Point will battle Mountain Lakes-Boonton on Monday.

Taylor leads Mountain Lakes-Boonton past Vernon
Aiden Taylor scored four goals to lead Mountain Lakes-Boonton to a 10-0 win over Vernon at Skylands Ice World in Haas/Charette Division play.

It was the first four goal game for Taylor, who is a freshman. Andrew Wilmot had five assists, while Lawson Fagan recorded two goals and two assists. Luca Scerra scored twice with an assist. Scott Soukop and Nick Signorile each had a goal and two assists in the win.

Mountain Lakes-Boonton (4-7, 4-4 Haas/Charette) will face High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny on Monday.

Klaus Harthaus made 60 saves for Vernon, which fell to 0-13 and 0-8 in the Haas/Charette. It will face Roxbury on Thursday.

Newton-Lenape Valley falls to Paramus tri-op
Despite an impressive 53-save performance from Adam Yacuk, Newton-Lenape Valley fell, 5-1 to Paramus-Lyndhurst-Mahwah at Skylands Ice World.

Sean Lockwood scored a first period goal to give NLV (4-11) a 1-0 lead, but the Paramus tri-op struck for five unanswered goals over the second and third periods to come away with the win.

NLV will be back in action on Wednesday when it faces Mountain Lakes-Boonton.
