Parsippany Regional wins in “Gold Out” game
Robert Hemenway scored two goals to lead Parsippany Regional to a 5-0 win over Morris Catholic-St. Elizabeth-Newark Academy in Haas/Charette Division play at Mennen Arena.
The game was a benefit game for pediatric cancer patients. More details on the event can be found here.
Joseph Gasparro, Matt Hemenway, and Kaden Bland each had a goal and an assist for Parsippany, which won its third-straight game and improved to 9-3 overall (6-2-0-1 Haas-Charette). Sean Coyle had two assists, while Andrew Nicholas stopped all 19 shots to earn his second shutout of the year.
Parsippany will next face High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny on Thursday as it looks to secure a top-two seed in the Haas Cup. The Morris Catholic tri-op is set to face Hoboken-Weehawken-Secaucus on Sunday evening at Mennen Arena.
Morris Knolls-Hills falls to Summit on the road
Morris Knolls-Hills fell, 5-1, to Summit at Union Sports Arena in an out-of-conference game.
Jake McCloud scored a third period goal for Morris Knolls-Hills, which fell to 4-9. Nick Trento made 23 saves in the loss. It will look to bounce back today when it faces Ridge at Mennen Arena at 6:15 p.m.
Chatham-Millburn girls lose to Kent Place
Maggie Breed and Simone Claps each scored for Chatham-Millburn in an 11-2 loss to Kent Place in NJIIHL-Cohen Division play at the RWJ Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark.
Chatham is now 5-6 overall with a 2-5 record in the Cohen Division. It will next face Trinity Hall on Tuesday.
Randolph girls fall to Trinity Hall
Amelia Kolbik had a goal, but the Randolph girls fell, 7-1 to Trinity Hall at Jersey Shore Arena.
Maria Dlugolecki made 58 saves for the Rams, who fell to 2-4-2 overall. It will take on Princeton on Wednesday.
