Braydon Sisco of Kinnelon-Jefferson-Sparta was honored as one of the New Jersey Devils Players of the Month for December.
Sisco was one of eight players to be picked. Seven boys players are picked, one from each conference in the state, while there is one girls player picked as well.
The sophomore forward had a tremendous start to the season, with 19 goals and 14 assists in the month of December. He led his team to a 7-1-1 record in the month, and currently, it holds an 8-2-1 overall record.
Other players nominated included Brent Beswick of Northern Highlands (Big North Conference), Blake Echternacnt of Hopewell Valley-Montgomery (Colonial Valley Conference), Logan Schroeder of Old Bridge (Greater Middlesex Conference), Dominic Szczygiel of Christian Brothers (Gordon Conference), Noah Sosland of Frisch (NJIIHL), Katie Cisar of Trinity Hall (Girls), Jack Elias of Howell-Matawan (Shore), and Nate Bienstock of Hillsborough (Skyland Conference).
Winners are based off nominations which are received from members of the statewide media that cover high school hockey. The Devils pick players of the month for each month, December through February. Each winner and their guests received tickets to a Devils home game and a certificate presented by a Devils player and RWJ Barnabas Health representative.
This is the 31st season of the Devils’ Player of the Month program.
