Mount Olive tri-op, Park Regional skate to tie
Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown and Park Regional skated to a 1-1 tie in Halvorsen Division play at Mennen Arena.

Colin Mulooly had the goal for Park Regional, which is now 3-4-2 with a 3-2-1 divisional record. Anthony Perrello made 21 saves for his team, which will face Tenafly-Cresskill on Tuesday.

Tyler Muscolino had the goal for Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown, which is 4-5-1 with a 2-2-1 divisional record. The teams will meet again on Jan. 18 in a game which could have major Halvorsen Cup seeding implications.

Mount Olive will next face Montville on Wednesday.

West Morris holds off Gill St. Bernard’s
Rhone Armijo and Ben Barnhill each scored for West Morris in a 2-1 win over Gill St. Bernard’s in Halvorsen Division play at Mennen Arena.

Shiva Kuttikat had two assists for West Morris, which took a 2-0 lead in the third on Barnhill’s goal just under four minutes in. Jason Trezza made 23 saves for the Wolfpack. It is now 7-3-1 overall with a 5-1 Halvorsen record as it heads into Sunday’s game with Chatham.

Luc Jansson made 41 saves for Gill St. Bernard’s, which dropped to 0-6 overall with an 0-5 Halvorsen mark. Michael Tighe scored the lone goal for the Knights, who will face Madison on Wednesday.

Roxbury remains unbeaten in division
Brody Ozga had a hat trick and two assists to lead Roxbury to an 8-0 win over Newton-Lenape Valley at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm.

Justin Katz had three assists and Griffin Warsaw contributed two assists for Roxbury, which is now 7-2 overall with a perfect 5-0 mark in the Haas-Charette Division. Michael Nelson had a goal and two assists, and Ryan VanZile scored twice. Alexis Oliveira and Chase Alven each contributed a goal and an assist.

Mikey Guadagnino made three saves to secure the shutout. Adam Yacuk made 48 for Newton-Lenape Valley, which fell to 2-8 overall with a 2-3 record in the division.

Roxbury will face Parsippany Regional on Tuesday, while Newton-Lenape Valley will face High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny on the same day.

Montville puts together dominant effort
Six different players found the back of the net for Montville as it earned an impressive 6-0 win over Madison in Halvorsen Division play at Mennen Arena.

Logan Engle, Nicolas Ponikowski, Anthony Wegorowski, Kaden Clifton, and Ryan Wortman each had a goal and an assist for Montville. Marco Van De Graaf and Justin Martinez each dished out two assists, while Dylan Hunter earned his second career shutout with 17 saves.

Montville out-shot Madison, 44-17 in the game. The Mustangs are 4-5 overall with a 3-3 divisional record, and will take on Mount Olive-Hopatcong-Hackettstown on Wednesday.

Nick Worthington made 35 saves and Modi Shi made three saves for Madison, which is 2-10 with a 1-4 Halvorsen record. It was Madison’s fifth loss in a row, and it will look to snap the skid Wednesday when it faces Gill St. Bernard’s.

Tokar leads balanced effort for High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny
Anthony Tokar had a hat trick and two assists to lead High Point-Wallkill Valley-Kittatinny to a 10-0 win over Vernon at Skylands Ice World.

Alex Sonvico had a goal and two assists for High Point, which improved to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Haas-Charette Division. Brady Reid had two assists, while Frank Korszoloski had a goal and an assist. Landon Healy stopped all 10 shots he faced to earn his second career shutout.

Klaus Harthaus stopped 65 shots for Vernon, which dropped to 0-8 overall with an 0-4 mark in the division.

The High Point tri-op will face River Dell-Westwood today, while Vernon will take on Mountain Lakes-Boonton on Wednesday.
