THREE STARS OF THE WEEK (Jan. 28-Feb. 3)

Mason Hriczov, Morristown-Beard, Fr., G.
Hriczov may be a freshman, but he has looked mature beyond his years this season. He had perhaps his most impressive week thus far, as he went a perfect 3-0 with wins over Morristown, plus state-ranked Gov. Livingston-New Providence and Seton Hall Prep. He had a 29-save effort in the overtime win over Morristown, before stopping 33 of 34 in a 3-1 win over Gov. Livingston-New Providence. Then, he had a career-high of 51 saves in a 3-1 win over Seton Hall Prep. He has an eye-popping .937 save percentage this season, which is unheard of for a freshman. This week alone, he stopped 113 out of 117 shots for a .966 save percentage.

Max Pendy, Delbarton, Sr., F.
Pendy had a big week for the Green Wave, with big individual performances in a pair of major wins. First, he had four goals and an assist in a 5-3 win over Bergen Catholic on Monday, before he had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over rival Christian Brothers. He has 21 goals and 15 assists for a team-high 36 points this season.

Luke Zabriskie, Vernon, Sr., D.
The senior has been the leading scorer for the Vikings all season and has played a major role in Vernon’s four-game winning streak. This week, he had four goals and two assists in a 7-2 win over Paramus-Lyndhurst, before recording an eye-popping six goals and three assists in an 11-6 win over the Charette regular season champions in Newton-Lenape Valley. In total, he had 10 goals and five assists in two games this week. He has 31 goals and 16 assists this season.
