THREE STARS OF THE WEEK (Jan. 21-27)
Benji Forman, Mountain Lakes-Boonton, Sr., F
Forman scored all three of his team’s goals to help it earn a 3-3 tie with Roxbury on Thursday. Two of those goals were shorthanded, including the game-tying goal in the third period. He also scored the game-tying goal to force overtime in the team’s 5-4 loss to West Morris on Saturday.

Jake McCloud, Morris Knolls-Hills, Jr., F
The junior had a monster game in his team’s 7-3 win over Wall on Friday night, which snapped a three-game losing skid. McCloud finished with four goals and two assists- a total of six points, meaning he was involved in all but one goal. He also scored a goal in the loss to Chatham earlier this week.

Jessica Sperling, Morristown-Beard (girls), Sr., F
Sperling had as good of a week as one can have in three wins for Morristown-Beard. She recorded a total of 13 points in three games, which included eight goals and five assists. She had a hat trick and an assist in a win over Hoosac (N.Y.), followed by four goals and an assist in a win over Pingry.
